Salt / Moisture Eliminator
A mist or moisture eliminator is a high integrity damper which removes humidity from moving air. Typically they are used where there is a high likelihood of rain or moisture being drawn into a ventilation system through the air intake vents. The specially designed blades capture the moisture and drain it away in carefully designed drain channels so as no moisture is carried back into the air stream.
In offshore, marine or coastal environments salt is present in saline solution, solid particulate and aerosol forms. Suitable for fresh air ventilation or gas turbine intakes, Salt Eliminator Systems comprise high efficiency louvres operating in conjunction with an appropriate filter/coalescer media. The filter/ coalescer will trap the solid particulate salt according to the efficiency of the filter media and coalesce remaining aerosols and water droplets for collection by a second louvre positioned at the outlet.
