Flamgard shares export success at UK Trade and Export Finance Forum

Flamgard Calidair’s Business Development Director, Shuresh Maran, recently appeared as a panellist at the UK Trade and Export Finance Forum (UKEF) in London.

The event brought together government ministers, policy-makers and industry experts from around the world to explore trends in international trade and developments in the export credit agency field. The UK Government’s Export Strategy was also a key topic at UKEF 2019, looking at the financing and insurance platforms which support UK trade.

Shuresh sat on the panel discussion for ‘Entering new markets: what you need to know’ alongside trade experts including UKEF’s own Head of Export Finance Managers, David Priestly. The panel talked over strategies for SMEs to enter new markets, and what government support can be accessed towards this end.

Shuresh weighed in with his own insight and presented Flamgard as a successful case study for entry into new markets. He discussed Flamgard’s export journey, detailing some of the obstacles the company has overcome along the way.

Commenting on the opportunity to speak at UKEF, Shuresh said: “I am immensely pleased that Flamgard’s success in export is being recognised on such a prestigious platform. This is a brilliant moment for export trade in the UK, and we at Flamgard are happy to share experiences from our journey to help other SMEs shape their own export endeavours.”

Flamgard’s HVAC equipment is now used to ensure safe working environments around the world, including some of the harshest climates on earth. From high-integrity dampers in Chernobyl to bespoke stainless-steel fire dampers in the Barents Sea, Flamgard products are certified to the highest standards to guarantee safety.
